Coming to you from sunny southern California and working at Saddleback church, Jadon Lavik has built up quite the radio story that is respected amoungst the “worship genre.” After releasing three albums—Moving on Faith (2004), Life on the Inside (2006) and the latest worship album Roots Run Deep (2008)…Jadon is now set to release “The Road” Acoustic this October. Lavik makes singing and playing guitar look so effortless as he takes the stage. You are sure to enjoy the simple acoustic sounds that only Jadon Lavik can produce in such the southern Californian fashion.
Roots Run Deep Reviews

Jadon Lavik has a gift for taking a traditional song and creatively (yet reverently) arranging it. Throughout the album, little other instrumentation is what lets the beauty of the arrangements – a mixture of new twists and true-to-originals – shine through. And what collection of hymns would be complete without a version of Amazing Grace? Jadon's jazzed-up version is absolutely fantastic, supplemented by electric guitar, snaps, and a background vocal line (oh oh, oh oh, oh thank God I'm free). Truly one of the best renditions I've heard. I recommend you take the fastest route available on the Street Date to get this album. It is sure to delight the ears and feed the spirits of Christian music-lovers across all genres – rock, pop, country, and soul. GospelMusicChannel.com
What sets this album apart from the pack of recent hymns albums are the original arrangements and melodies, as he creates his own interpretation of each hymn using simple instrumentation for an intimate sound. Lavik is joined by industry veteran Fernando Ortega on "Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus," a highlight of the album. "What a Wondrous Love is This" is a fresh take of this hymn which showcases Lavik's guitar style, while "Amazing Grace" takes on an acoustic, jazzy feel. The album's melodic sounds draw listeners into a quiet place, especially on "My Father's World" and "I Surrender All." With an acoustic vibe comparable to Brandon Heath and Warren Barfield, Roots Run Deep is an organic "unplugged" worship experience.
